Attendance Milestones

Three of the Club's judokas achieved attendance milestones on Thursday 4th June.

Hannah Knights completed her 200th training session, Jacob Eadson his 100th and Max Dudley his 50th.

Hannah started the Club in September 2019 after taking part in after school sessions at Sutton Road Primary School in Mansfield. She is currently a 9th Mon (orange belt +3 tags)

Jacob started the Club in June 2023 and he is a 5th Mon (yellow belt +2 tags). Max started the Club in January 2017 and he is currently a 3rd Mon (red belt +3 tags)

Ares Premiership

Club Coach, Sam Watson travelled to High Wycombe on Saturday 30th May for the Ares Premiership Team Event. Sam was part of the Ryecroft Squad that claimed a bronze medal.

BJC Low Grade Medals

Miles Dudley and Tyler Robinson travelled to Leicester for the BJC Leicestershire & Northants Low Grade Open Championships on Saturday 16th May, and they both returned with medals.

BJC National Medals

Brother and sister, Malaki and Tenisha Parnham travelled to Kettering on Sunday 3rd May for the BJC Open National Championships. They both came away with deserved medals.

Edgewood JC Age & Grade Band Championship

Five of the Club's judokas took part in the Edgewood JC Age & Grade Band Championships held in Bilborough on Sunday 26th April.

Nottingham Judo Awards

Eight of the Club's judokas received awards at the re-introduced Nottingham Judo Awards evening held at Mapperley Plains Social Club on Saturday 18th April. (For more photos see Members Area)

Miles Strikes Gold

Miles Dudley travelled to Coventry on Saturday 21st March for the Coventry JC Mini-Mon in which he won the gold medal in his category.

CWO Time to Listen

Leighanne Parnham completed a Time to Listen course on Saturday 21st February as part of her CWO revalidation requirements.

Nottingham Cadet & Senior Grade Band Open

Malaki & Tenisha Parnham took part in the Nottingham Cadet & Senior Grade Band Open at Bluecoat Beechdale Academy in Bilborough on Sunday 8th February. Tenisha struck gold in the Cadets category before claiming a silver and 20pts towards her Dan grade in the 1st kyu+ category. Malaki Parnham also claimed a silver and 20pts towards his Dan grade in the 1st kyu+ category.

National Adaptive Inclusion Training Day

Club Coaches, Steve Wilkins, Sam Watson & Tenisha Parnham attended the National Adaptive Inclusion  Traininy Day at Walsall on Saturday 7th February. Taking part in various workshops this acted as a coach revalidation requirement.

Eva's Attendance MIlestone

Eva Haslam completed her 50th training session on Thursday 5th February. Eva started the Club in August 2024, after taking part in after school sessions at West Park Academy, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. She is currently a 3rd Mon (red belt +3 tags).

Nage-No-Kata Course

Club judokas Malaki & Tenisha Parnham travelled to Northampton on Sunday 1st February for a Nage-No-Kata Course. After a day of going through all 5 sets of the kata, both Malaki & Tenisha achieved their BJA Level 1 certificate, which is the minimum requirement towards their dan grade (black belt).

Portland Judo Competition

Four of the Club's judokas took part in the Portland JC u8 and 8-14 Mini-Mon Open Championships in Bilborough on Sunday 25th January.

CWO Safeguarding

Leighanne Parnham completed an UK Coaching Safeguarding & Protecting Children course on Wednesday 21st January as part of her CWO revalidation requirements.

Hector's Attendance MIlestone

Hector Re-Rose completed his 150th session both on Thursday 8th January. He started the Club in May 2022, after taking part in after school sessions at National Primary School, Hucknall, and is currently a 10th Mon (green belt +1 tag).

First Aid Revalidation

Club Coach Steve Wilkins revalidated his First Aid Qualification by completing an UK Coaching Introduction To First Aid And Physical Activity Course, Online on Friday 19th December.

Presentation Evening

Skegby Judo Club rounded of 2025 with a judo games session and presentation evening, on Thursday 18th December. The Clubs annual awards were handed out alongside trophies to those who took part in the Club Championships.
